We're not trying to replace you.
Our 'not us' page sends people to an attorney any time the work actually needs one. Join the referral network so we know where to send them.
Trustwise is deliberately narrow: wills first, healthcare directive and POA next, living trust after. The moment an estate starts needing real planning — trusts, business succession, blended-family complexity, tax-driven structures — we tell the user to hire a lawyer. Today that's a dead-end for the user; we'd rather it be a warm handoff.
What we're planning
The attorney referral network.
State-specific directory
Users in CA, NY, or TX who need a lawyer see a short list of vetted estate attorneys in their state.
No pay-to-play
Ranking is by user ratings and completion rate, not by subscription tier. We want the referral to be worth the click.
Structured handoff
If the user consents, the attorney receives a summary of what Trustwise already collected — saves intake time on the attorney's side.
Lightweight CLE content
Blog posts and practice notes co-authored with attorneys in the network. Not a replacement for WealthCounsel or ElderCounsel — just useful.
White-label Trustwise (later)
A longer-term option: use the Trustwise will engine under your firm brand for simple wills, keep the complex work in-house.
How we think about the line
Narrow lane, respected.
We don't upsell attorney review as a revenue lever. The document is either statutory enough to be right by construction, or it isn't — and if it isn't, the user needs actual counsel, not a 15-minute phone call.
That means our attorney network is about sending the right users your way with context, not about padding our margin on theirs.
