Cancellation and refunds

We want you to feel confident using Trustwise. Here is everything you need to know about cancellations and refunds.

One-time purchase

If you purchased a single will document (not a subscription), the charge is a one-time fee. There is no recurring billing. If you have not yet downloaded your completed will, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund. After you have downloaded the final signed-ready PDF, we do not offer refunds, as the document has been delivered.

Updates Plan (subscription)

The Updates Plan is a monthly or annual subscription that lets you revise and re-download your will as many times as you need.

To cancel:

  1. Log in to your Dashboard
  2. Go to Account settings
  3. Select Manage subscription
  4. Click Cancel plan

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again after that date. You can still access and download your will until the period ends.

Refunds on the Updates Plan: We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time on an annual plan, except where required by law (California subscribers have certain statutory rights — contact us if you believe you qualify). Monthly subscribers are not billed again after cancellation and no partial refund is issued for the current month.

Mirror Wills add-on

The Mirror Wills add-on is a one-time purchase that lets a second person in your household (typically a spouse or partner) complete their own will. The same refund policy as the one-time purchase applies: refund available within 14 days if the second will has not been downloaded.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

We retain your account and answers for 90 days after cancellation in case you change your mind and want to reactivate. After 90 days, your personal information is deleted from our production systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We retain anonymized records as required for legal and accounting purposes.

Your downloaded PDF is yours to keep. We have no ability to revoke a document you have already saved.

If you have any trouble with the cancellation process or believe you are owed a refund, please reach us through the contact page. Include your account email address and a brief description of the issue. We respond within two business days.
